The year is 1517. Nearly 70 years ago a civil war ripped the Holy Roman Empire in twain as two royal families fought for the throne. Eventually the Reichstadt family gained the upper hand and wrested power from the ruling Hapsburg family. The nobles who supported the Hapsburg family had their lands confiscated and awarded to those loyal to the Reichstadts and were sent to settle the Empire’s Eastern frontier.
The disenfranchised nobles petitioned for the return of their ancestral lands, as did their children, and now their grandchildren.
